All flasks have reinforcing beads at the top. The 500mL and 800mL flasks have tooled necks to provide for accurate fit of stoppers and to reduce possibility of breakage. The 30mL size is designed from ASTM Specification E147. The 100mL and larger sizes are designed from ASTM Specification E1377, Type I requirements.
